Publication Process

All manuscripts submitted to N-RELIVE (Journal of Natural Resources, Environment, and Sustainable Livelihood) undergo a rigorous peer-review and editorial process to ensure the quality and integrity of published content. The publication process consists of the following steps:

1. Submission

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. All submissions must comply with the Author Guidelines and fall within the Focus and Scope of the journal. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and must not be under consideration or published elsewhere.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, the manuscript is initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief or handling editor to check for:

  • Relevance to the journal's scope

  • Compliance with formatting and submission guidelines

  • Plagiarism and originality (using plagiarism detection tools)

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be desk-rejected at this stage.

3. Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers for evaluation. N-RELIVE uses a double-blind peer-review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure objectivity and fairness. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise relevant to the manuscript topic.

4. Review Decision

Based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editor may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept submission

  • Revisions required (minor or major)

  • Resubmit for review

  • Decline submission

Authors will receive detailed feedback from reviewers and the editor. If revisions are required, authors must submit a revised version along with a response to reviewers.

5. Final Decision

After the revised manuscript is resubmitted, the editor (and reviewers if needed) will re-evaluate the manuscript. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Editorial Board when necessary.

6. Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting to ensure clarity, style consistency, and accuracy. Authors will be asked to review and approve the final proofs before publication.

7. Publication

The final version of the manuscript is published online in the upcoming issue. Articles are assigned a DOI and are made freely available under an open-access policy.

8. Indexing and Archiving

Published articles are indexed in various academic databases and archived for long-term digital preservation.
